We are proud that one of our ROSETTA Fellows, Dr. Rudy Fernandez-Escobedo, has been awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Award 2025.
This prestigious reward is awarded to one of three PhD Graduates in Business and Economics at the University of Basque Country. He was also ranked first in his 2023-2024 cohort.

Commenting on receiving the award Rudy said he was “honoured to receive the Extraordinary Doctorate Award 2025 from the University of the Basque Country.
I’m deeply grateful for this distinction, which is awarded to one of every ten PhD graduates in Business and Economics — this year granted to three researchers, among whom I was ranked first in the 2023–2024 cohort.
This recognition marks the closing of a meaningful chapter in my academic journey and a motivation to continue contributing to research.
