Dr Mehari Beyene Teshome is a ROSETTA postdoctoral fellow with University of Galway and is undertaking his fellowship under the supervision of Prof Kathryn Cormican.

He earned his PhD in Management Engineering and Real Estate Economy from the University of Padua, Italy, and holds an MSc in Industrial Engineering from Addis Ababa University.

Drawing on academic and research positions in Italy and Ethiopia, he brings extensive experience in teaching, research, and project management. His expertise includes innovation management, sustainable production and logistics operations, supply chain resilience, and patent analytics and technology assessment. His work has been published in international journals including IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, Research in Transportation Business & Management, World Patent Information, Transport Economics and Management, and the Baltic Journal of Management. Across these contributions, he integrates quantitative analysis, patent intelligence, and sustainability perspectives to address contemporary challenges in innovation, logistics, and industrial development.

Mehari’s ROSETTA project, “Continuous Customer-Adaptive Digital Service Innovation” examines how firms transform continuous customer signals into coherent digital service innovations. The study contributes to research on service innovation and technology management by developing a continuous customer-adaptive digital service innovation capability framework.

Empirically, it focuses on software-intensive service firms, combining quantitative and qualitative methods within a multiple-case study design to trace customer-signal adaptation cycles.
