Researchers At Risk

“Researchers at risk include researchers, scholars, scientists at all stages of their research careers, including doctoral candidates through to experienced researchers and professors, who are experiencing threats to their life, liberty, or research career, and those who are forced or have been forced to flee because of such threats.”*

ROSETTA will support applications from those displaced by conflict or whose situation makes it difficult to pursue research careers, both during the application process and during their fellowship.

All Implementing Partners are designated Universities of Sanctuary in recognition of initiatives welcoming asylum seekers and refugees.

Supports to Researchers at Risk will include:

  • submission of applications by post where online application requirements discriminate against the researcher;
  • application of eligibility criteria to ensure researchers who have suspended activities while seeking refugee status are not disadvantaged;
  • Tailored advice, guidance and support will be provided on a case-by-case basis
