Dr Mona Isazad Mashinchi is currently a Lecturer in Business Information Systems at the J.E. Cairnes School of Business and Economics, University of Galway.

Mona’s primary research interests lie in the Digital Transformation of Healthcare and Cybersecurity. Her main focus is on the ethical design, development, and adoption of healthcare information systems, with a specific interest in applying AI and analytical techniques to enhance healthcare services and improve quality of care and patient outcomes while safeguarding digital infrastructures.

Her research interests are Digital Government/Health; Cybersecurity, Cyber Risk; Sociotechnical Design, Patient-Centred Care; Human-Computer Interaction; Data-Driven Innovation; Data Analytics; AI.
