3 September 2025 – Dr Thompson Kwarke, was selected to deliver a lightning talk at the Lero Research Ireland Centre for Software Annual Summit. In a concise presentation, he showcased his research on governing artificial intelligence in Africa.

The lightning talk format challenged presenters to communicate their work clearly and impactfully within just a few minutes. Thompson’s presentation drew strong interest and prompted follow-up discussions with researchers, academics, and industry professionals attending the event.

Reflecting on the experience, Thompson said: “It was a fantastic opportunity to share my work in such a dynamic format. The questions and conversations that followed have given me fresh perspectives to take forward in my research.”
