Anastasia is an Assistant Professor in Business Information Systems at the University of Galway, Ireland, and serves as the Programme Director for the MSc in Business Analytics. She earned her Ph.D. in Business Analytics from Athens University of Economics and Business. Anastasia boasts a rich background in research commercialization, having founded two AI and analytics start-ups. Her research interests span across Business Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Innovation, and Customer Behavior.

She has published in edited books and journals such as Information Systems Frontiers, IT & People, International Journal of Hospitality Management, International Journal of Information Management, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Expert Systems with Applications, IEEE Software, and Journal of Decision Systems. Additionally, Anastasia has served as a Guest Editor on three occasions and has held roles as an Associate Editor and Reviewer for various academic journals and conferences. She also holds the distinction of being a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow recipient.
